Indian Lecture Series Poster:
The Rise, Transformation, and Fall of Liberalism in India, 1800–1950
2010
I was commissioned by the Anthropology Department at The New School (my alma mater) to create a poster publicizing an inaugural annual public lecture in South Asian history.
The lecture was given by Sir Christopher Bayly, a Cambridge historian specializing in British Imperial, Indian, and global history.
The poster design is inspired by early 20th-century Indian hand-lettering.
